In late WotLK, I started work on creating SkillScore: a tool to objectively and accurately measure skill. The test was to include at least two sections, the Muertedolor General Axial Reaction Test, and a written section which I had gotten about a third of the way through writing before realizing the inherent futility of the endeavour.

I completely forgot about it until I came across it just today while organizing my documents.

Many of the questions are obsolete as they were written for late WotLK, but I felt like posting it for kicks:

A. Tank Mechanics

A. Nothing. An immunity effect wipes aggro.
B. Nothing. Taunt does not go through immunity effects.
C. The taunt over-rides the immunity effect, causing the mob to attack the tank for its duration.
D. The act of taunting instantly cancels any immunity effects active, and the taunt is fully effective.

Tank #09 I'm assuming this means stacking 1 stat forever

Healing #01-02
Questions are pointless since I doubt anyone cares which gives 10 more threat than another

Healing #13
All of the answers are equally bad

Healing #14
Druid and Shaman mana regen are both set it and forget it with no cost besides their cooldowns

DPS #02
I was sure both Rogues and Paladins have 1 aoe each with another talented for

DPS #05
Could change based on instance and mob type

Casters have deadzones? But seriously at least with outranging you are forcing it to move away from where it is casting.

Paladin's have Consecration and Holy Wrath baseline, not including Divine Storm for Ret (this is DPS section after all).

Guys, just wowhead the anwers and ace the test. Flawless victory.

Surely this is one of the problems that made Aestu decide it was futile.

I'm refering to if, for whatever reason, they made a multiple choice test part of the game in any way.

WoWhead would have an answer key up in a heartbeat.

You are going to have to run halfway across the room or hallway to move them and some mobs cast things when far and melee when close.

That isn't moving them though. They'll also just start recasting when you move out of melee. Obviously it's not viable, but at least they move.

There are caster/melee mobs that will move with you as long as you inch away. But this Q/A sheet is rather pointless anyway except for a few questions.

Those are either hybrid casters (not true casters) or hunter-types.

There were five other questions for which my preferred response differed.

Quote:
1. If a tank taunts a mob while an immunity effect is active on him, what happens?
C. The taunt over-rides the immunity effect, causing the mob to attack the tank for its duration.

4. Taunt is NOT affected by:
D. Magic resistance.

13. Which of the two are mutually exclusive?
C. Resistable, avoidable.

1. Which generates the most threat when initially applied?
B. Chain Heal.

5. If a DPS pulls aggro on an untauntable mob, he should:
A. Run towards it.

But at least you had the courage to take the test!

I think general knowledge, combined with the Muertedolor General Axial Reaction Test, would be a pretty reliable indicator of performance.
