Aestu is hearing reverb on vent when I try to talk while someone else is speaking and it is annoying him. He thinks it's because I don't have a headset - but as evidenced by this picture, you can see my headset. SO - vent bros, help me fix this problem so I don't have reverb. Is it a sound thing? My headphones are too loud? Is there a vent setting that can fix this?

UPDATE: I switched "use direct sound" from "default direct sound device" to Microphone (USB Audio Device) and it didn't work.

There was a problem. You're most likely blocked by the armory.

I googled around and other people have had this issue...of course the solutions have so far proven useless.

I know, and I always release the button if I hear someone else talk...but it made Aestu mad

I have the opposite problem, no one can hear me unless I literally scream into the mic while it's in my mouth.

If you recently downloaded Skype and/or maybe if it's been there all along, you may need to reset your vent settings. My GM was having some problems with it and he ended up having to reset it cause skype fucked with the settings.

Other than that just make sure you have all your recording settings to microphone and not steromix.

Vent just sucks some times but it's infinitely better than in game voice chat which I'm still fairly certain they implemented as a way of recording our conversations (regardless of whether you have it enabled or not). But hey, maybe I'm just paraonid.

lol I was trying to get the vent window in the shot, and taking the picture with one hand, while also trying to make sure my headphones were clearly visible (to prove to Aestu that I indeed am using headphones) - hence the crookedness. I think it gives it a very artsy look though.
