Here's my final repost of "Re:Circle Jerks". This is a quote of my letter to Mayo.



Now then, I've posted for everyone to see my attempts at better finding out exactly what I did so I could avoid unintentionally doing it again.

Mayo has yet to respond and I doubt he'll he respond in this thread. I'm going to give him a couple days to respond and then just assume he was talking out of his ass.

In the event that I should be banned for this, I love you all (even you mayo) and I think you're all great people. I offer my sincere apologies to those "people" I've done something to upset, it was never my intention. I hope FUBU can go on regardless and just sorry I couldn't be a part of it.

Should I not be banned and I countinue doing something you don't like, either address it in the thread or if you're shy send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to work something out.

You can't be banned arbitrarily, and it takes 2 votes out of 3 for it to happen anyway.

That's all fine and well but if it really bothers more than just Mayo I'd like to know exactly what it is so I can stop or at least cutback.

I'm not here to piss people off, least not most of the time. I save all that for the official forums.

No, but Necra is by far the biggest offender.

Necra, you have this amazing tendency to make almost every other thread on the official forums as some sort of circle jerk (I don't know how else to describe it, just two or three people using the board as their AIM). I've seen it starting to happen over here and I'm not a fan of it. There are two groups of people that post on this site, the people that are tolerable and the people that are retarded. I've had people that I actually value since they bring quality content to the boards they visit (ex. Rabid, Danzor, etc) either barely frequent the site or leave it entirely because of the ocean of piss that you among with others (ex. Euphonic, to name one out of many) leave here.

I understand the whole mantra of FUBU (I know because I created it), but at the end of the day, the whole point of FUBU is to actually have a decent board that people like, not some sort of rehash of what's happening on the realm boards without the recruitment posts, nuked threads, and language filters.

Hell, I wouldn't care if there were stupid threads once in a while and people like you and Euphonic actually contributed to the board, but the threads are constant and nothing else of merit is given.

Keep the stupid shit either in the shitfest or off of FUBU. People here left the realm boards, meaning they don't want all of that worthless shit dragged onto FUBU.

I appreciate the response. Thank you. It sounds like "we can do this but you can't". It may not be but that's just what it sounds like to me. Since I have such a hard time distinguishing "circle jerks" from valuable posts, I'll just remove myself from the main section and stick to the shitfest.

I was always under the assumption that was the sole point of these boards, to escape the crazy thread nuking. Sorry if that was not the case.

I do believe there's a bit of miscommunication going on here. Mayo seems to be pointing out circle jerk threads in the official forums, and Necra's looking to find what constitutes it here.

I'd like 3-5 examples in the past 60 days of that on this forum. There are plenty of retarded threads created on this forum, and I believe that specific examples would be useful.

This would be helpful.



Edit: a circle jerk clause in the rules would be nice too and it would go nice with the reach around clause.

I think circlejerk is best defined as threads between 2 people that could be better served as a personal message utilizing the PM system. Correct me if I'm wrong, Mayo?

Would also like to add that Necra is not the only offender, I've been guilty of circlejerk threads following my own definition on rare occasions.

I don't see an issue with an occasional circle jerk thread, sometimes they can be funny and can branch out with other people contributing, but I think they need to remain few and far between and at the same time be relevant to multiple posters.

Quit blaming us for this boards terrible performance; instead, give us some actual content to contribute too. How can you sit there and say a casual like me ruined your board, I have barely 200 posts. Then again, FUBU would of had to actually of been something before anybody could ruin it.

what's funny is that people keep shit talking these forums and then keep posting here.

I didn't know people left the main forums to get away from recruitment threads and whatever else went on there. I thought we were all pretty much banned in a two week period so this place sprung up to avoid the iron hand of the blue. Am wrong?

As for the second point, it's just a nice way of saying "These boards would be much better without Necrachilles or Euphonic(?) but mostly just Euphonic.

I mean, if he really wants me gone that bad (short of banning me), all he has to do is ask me.

Normally I would. Honestly though if he wants me gone enough to ask me to leave the boards though, I'd respect his wishes. He was nice enough to set this all up and I'd hate to "ruin" everything for him.
