History Lesson:

Back before cross realm battle grounds (ie, when you only faced people on you're server) the entirety of BH referred to groups formed prior to queue simply as raids.

Then battle groups happened.

We can also bring in the Carlin argument on the prefix 'pre'. In that 'pre-made' is a meaningless fucking term. There are only two states a group can be in: 'made' or 'not made'.

The latter reason being the one that states why I dislike the term.
