So, this isn't a complaint really, just curious.

When you move a thread, it basicly puts it in both places (where it originated and it's destination). Not sure if it's just temporary or what but it doesn't seem like it.

Now this is all good and fun but doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose? I mean if anything it's a blessing as it would possibly up the views it gets.

Just thinking either moving threads is pointless or that, if you can, you should disable it from keeping it in the original location.

Curious is all, no need to yell at me D:

Edit: The only real problem is how to notify people of when it's been moved but that just strengths the argument of moving threads being pointless if not causing more clutter.

I guess I feel the "Moved: Thread" should be disabled and if it truly belongs in it's other place then a) People will find it or b) They didn't want to be there in the first place and just didn't know it.

When we move threads we have the option of leaving a shadow or not.

I see. It just seems like the two cancel each other out. You move the thread but it's really still there.

It's just confusing is all but I suppose it's less confusing not having to wonder where the thread I was actively posting in went.

I see what you're getting at, but sometimes leaving a shadow lets people know there used to be a thread there that we didn't hate enough to move without some notification, and once moved it can't be bumped on the original board it was posted to so the problem is solved in that way.

I suppose that makes sense and isn't all that bad.

Thanks for the info.

Personally, I do the shadows so people know where the thread went as opposed to it completely vanishing to a board some of the people who are interested in it might not frequent.

I'd also like to think of it as a reminder as to what types of threads will get moved in the future.

Yeah, if the thread was bumped on both sides it would kind of defeat the purpose though but your second reason was the only thing I could come up with for it to not be totally useless.

All in all I think you guys made the best choice. I was just curious about it. Thanks again for the replies and such.
