I never played past the first dungeons in the first one. Is the second one enjoyable without the backstory?

The beginning of the game occurs simultaneously to the beginning of Origins.
Then it skips ahead and you'll see the effects of actions taken in Origins and Awakening.
These decisions change dialogue a bit but overall it doesn't affect game play much.
It's similar but not quite on the level of decisions carrying over from Mass Effect 1 to 2.

You're not really missing anything aside from returning characters and some other little funnies they threw in.
"Do you ever get the feeling like tings are simpler? Like... Fighting and creating things is a lot easier than it used to be?"

I think it's more fun now than it was.
I don't have to issue commands every 3 seconds but you still have to pause the game to assess the situation.

idk what it is, i'm just having a tough time staying interested.

that, and i'll finish a long ass talking sequence, then it will immediately start over like i just started talking to them. Annoying as shit.

Will I ever get used to the bug where if you're controlling a melee character, you have to reassign the toon to attack a mob each and every time the mob gets knocked back from an ability? No, no i will not.

Also, Jarric is the one dwarf I'll allow to not have a beard.

I don't know. I have to manually attack everytime I want to do a basic melee. But I'm not playing it on pc. Id get used to switching after a knockback though.

I wish the sex scenes were raunchier though, the spontaneous isabella one was far and away the raunchiest and it was still PG13. QQ
