Oh man... where do I start.

1) Skyline opens at 10am, meaning it was closed for my venture.
2) Domino's was also closed at 930am and it violates the under $7 clause.
3) You've obviously never eaten cincinnati chili before, because EVERYONE slathers it in hot sauce.
4) Eating straight kimchee/sauerkraut is pretty gross and violates the "I don't have to make it" clause.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that fast food fills out a VERY specific niche in dining (read: quick food at off hours for cheap) and this is one of those instances where its completely ok to eat it.

But I'm sure you'll come up with a bunch of specious reasons about why it's too much to ask that you make extremely simple dishes, or why the many restaurant chains in Cincinnati aren't good enough for you.

1. There are other places near you than Skyline.
2. Domino's delivers 24 hours and three bucks more for a pizza is not too much.
3. Uh, I've had it all the time since I was a kid. My father attended med school in Cincinnati and got hooked. Ever since, he's been obsessed (as in, Aestu obsessed) with buying different brands of canned chili as well as making it fresh at home (which is not difficult and it actually gets better each time it's reheated). Besides, if you want to up the flavor of the chili, thai sauce isn't what you'd add.
4. Real kimchee is not nearly as gross as cheap chinese food and other crap with hot sauce on it. At least the former is real food.

1) Yeah, there are. The only other one that's any good is Camp Washington and that would take me a good 20-30 minutes since it doesn't have a drive-thru.
2) No, they don't.
3) You still drown it in hot sauce (or at least everyone that I've ever known that eats cinci chili does).
4) We have pretty good chinese food down here so this isn't a problem.

There's a time and a place for fast food and this was one of those times. I can't believe that people are making an argument out of a thread that I made as an attempt for humor which was obviously passed over most of you.

Well, at least this thread has given me a hankering for Camp Washington.

Jubber and I are just saying that dousing trash in hot sauce is gross. If you can't wait 30m, w/e, that just seems unfathomable to me (esp since I'd expect DA2 would be first on your mind, not food).

Sounds like a few people in this thread have reverse penises and can't enjoy hot sauce.

The sauce MNS mentioned in his original post is quite good imo. I use to to add flavor to many things i cook, not as a sauce but a flavor during cooking. I just think it comes down to personal opinion. On this board every ones opinion seems to be a fucking fact. Since you all have different opinions on everything, yet your opinion is set in stone fact, i can only come to the conclusion you live in completely different universes/dimensions/realities or you are all just so fucking full of yourselves it is pathetic. Maybe some one can convince me it is the former of those two.

bye

I ascribe to the reality/dimension/universe where that red cock+tail sauce is yummy. what do you use it in? I've only used it in thai restaurants.

I am not afraid to mix different flavors from different cultures so I use it in a lot of stuff. When i fry the ground turkey for tacos/burritos i tend to fry it with a bit of that sauce, then add the traditional mexican seasonings later. I do the same for chili when i make a big pot. On my hamburgers instead of of ketchup i will put a bit of that sauce and some mustard. Stuff like that. On the occasions i make my own fried rice i will use it for additional flavor as well. Heck, I have even used it when making a meatloaf. When I was single and some what strapped for cash it even made cheap things like store bought spaghetti sauce a bit zestier and ramen a little more edible. I obviously like it more than most, but I can also see why some wouldn't like it. Nothing wrong with that.

Something that has always left me puzzled was sitting down at a good steak house and noticing the person across the way covering their $50 steak in A1. I feel kinda dumb now though because according to what I've seen on these forums i shoulda walked up to them, snatched their steak, tossed it on the ground then proceeded to tell them how stupid and hard headed they were for liking to eat it that way.

Sorry team. I have failed in the past, BUT NO MORE!!!!

In a situation like this, it would've been appropriate.

Makes me rage so hard when I go out to a good restaurant and someone orders a steak done medium+

IT NEEDS TO BE BLEEDING ON THE PLATE PEOPLE

It would be more apt to see a parallel between your perceptions and others.

I won't snatch your steak and call you stupid if you leave me to my jellyfish and don't call me gross.

There's such a thing as a $50 steak? I've eaten in some pretty overpriced places and I've never seen anything that egregious.

And shit, if people like their steaks burnt to a crisp, that's their business. I like it when steaks bleed, but it's your fucking palate so eat it how you like.

You're still a bitch if you don't like hot sauce though.

They have an amazing steak sauce too.

Aaaaand thank you. Someone's obsessed with my homemade sauce, but I know she likes spicy. We'll see how that works out.
