Mostly what I'm reading here is this was a place for Bleeding Hollow players to escape from moderation with a hint of "pls no shitty posts". Correct me if I'm wrong and/or change the "About FUBU" section accordingly.
That's basically it, yeah. But, like Joklem said, I assumed that there would be at least a shred of decency and courtesy (not a lot, just a little). I've had to do a lot more moderation on this site than I thought I'd have to and I'm really not happy about it. I don't know how many threads I've had to lock and/or move because people refuse to post the same thing on a different board. There's just a lot of really simple rules that I'm astonished that have become such vicious arguments.
In the scheme of things, I don't ask a lot and I let a lot go, but its like pulling teeth no matter what is asked of people.

"Anything goes board". With the exception of the few rules we have, I'd assume this would mean anything goes. Problem is alot of the rules are open to interpretation. It's like saying "No running!" and you get caught walking a little too fast for some one and you're accused of power walking which all of a sudden falls under running.
Some of them are, yeah. The thing is that there's been 4-8 people (Dvergar, Eturnal, Jubber, and some others) that have bitched and moaned about every single small decision made around here (ex. Lolcat Shitfest, this thread, etc), so I frankly stopped giving a shit, considering I get the same reaction from the same people no matter what happens so I just do what I feel is better for the site. When the rules were made I assumed people would be adults about it, but I've learned that that's obviously too much of a burden for some people.

Is it just me or am I reading this as all 5 mods will be part of punishment dished out? That's just what it seems like to me unless of course it's supposed to mean that one of the 5 mods will handle it and that only Mayo can do anything about repeat violation of rule #1.
As I said on the first page of this thread, this wasn't an official vote to ban Aestu. If there was a strong enough outcry, however, I'm sure the mods would talk it over and come to some sort of solution (maybe a small ban, maybe a warning, idk). He didn't break any rules, yeah, but derailing every thread is incredibly annoying, as is pissing off half the board and making the entirety of FUBU a "xxx vs. Aestu" megastation isn't the intent of FUBU. I'd say that this would fall under the common sense clause, but I apparently have to hold everyone's hand, so I'll change the clause to better define "common sense".

Again I suggest making one of the current boards or making a new one and Mayo/the mods only inviting those that wish to participate in that section there. Make it read-only or completely invisible to those not invited. This seems like it would solve alot of problems either way.
Nope. I'm thinking about bringing Argument Station back, however.
This thread was for a community opinion on a highly debated matter. If you guys can't handle it or simply don't want it, then we can just make mod actions silent and mysterious like the very boards you came from. That way, when the "you're the same as blizzard mods!" shtick gets thrown around every other month, it'll actually have some merit.

Speaking of which...threatening people with bans for anything other than a breach of said rules gives the impression that modding here is capricious and subjective. It not only detracts from the stature of the individual engaging in this behavior but also has given the impression to at least one person I've talked to off the board (Burnsey) that he shouldn't bother even applying for board privileges.
Alright, then I'll just start handing out the 1-3 hour bans like I used to (you know, the actual warnings as the site rules entail). Also, if people don't want to join because people they're not associated with are fucking up and getting threatened with bans, I don't want them here, kind of like the people that refuse to post here because "raid" is filtered.
