Desert eagles weigh about 5 or 6 pounds when loaded with .50. I think they're a bit heavier if you go with a DE that has a long barrel. The DE I played with had a pretty rough slide and it had a heavy trigger pull. The recoil was pretty rough, but I found the sustainability of the weapon to be grueling; just holding the gun steady and level for awhile was a task for me. Short usage will probably be fine for most people but spending a long time at the range will probably leave you aching.

fuck a DE, get a sig or a glock

pretty much. DE's are entirely for show. anyone lugging one and claiming it's for protection is an idiot.

that being said, the kickback isn't that bad once you've gotten used to it or fired other heavy kickin guns. if you've never fired something like that before though? people have broken shit in their hand.

Like I said, I wouldn't actually get a firearm. I just like DEagles aesthetically, and .50 is manly. I don't need a gun for protection and will never need a gun for protection.

i'm going to buy a firearm because its fun as hell to shoot them. probably an AR for sure, maybe a 9mm of some kind.

no way man, you can totally use a DE as a club.


oh and the next best thing to people trying to shoot .50's is the kids who hold the gun sideways or pointed downwards.

gives a whole nother reason to walk softly, and carry a big gun.
