Just another example on how corporations aren't willing to react to the "free market" and are more willing to rig the rules for them than actually step up and make a higher quality product. Maybe if the big two didn't spend the last 60 years trying to brainwash people that pisswater is beer, it wouldn't be biting them in the ass now.
Reminds me a lot of the video game market and massive companies like Activision and EA. Maybe if they didn't destroy their customers' faith in their product by releasing Call of Duty 10+ times under 8 different names (and charging full price for each edition), pirating wouldn't be such an issue.
