First off - I was not commenting on her Republican-ness, and definitely didn't want to start a political flamewar, hence why I put this in the shitfest. Usdk was much closer to the type of thread responses I was looking for. If she had been a democratic candidate I would have laughed at her just the same.

Couple things. You say the media was unfair to her....I dunno, I think a lot of the questions she was given were very fair...like "name a newspaper you read" or "what foreign policy experience do you have" or "how do you feel about george bush's policies" (IE "The Bush Doctrine").
These are not particularly hard hitting or unfair questions...and they are questions i'd expect the vice president of the united states to have ready answers to....not a bunch of jumbled talking points.
Sure she''s had some slip of the tongues since which the media will always run with...but her utter idiocy is not the result of the media taking things she says out of context.
