Death =/= divorce.

What I see that is damning in divorce is that it is a failing of character. Either one partner misjudged the other, or they don't have the strength of character to persist through difficulty. While it's true to err is human, the inevitability of making errors doesn't make any individual error - certainly not one so significant to life - any less significant. To be a good judge of character is itself part of character.

it is most certainly NOT apples and oranges. those kids were taken from their mother(if not both parents) for the sheer fact of slave owners greed. that is just as senseless of a reason to remove a kid from a family as it is to remove a kid when his parents can't stand each other. ONE of those parents could be a good parent, no problem.

kids at a young age during a divorce have a hard enough time believing it isn't their fault the parents got divorced, I can't imagine what they'd feel like if they lost BOTH their parents to your dumbass wishlist of a law.

Responsible parents do not allow that to happen.

Yeah I mean...divorce sucked, but I don't see how not being able to see my mother or father ever again would have been better for me.


Although from a cynical perspective, Aestu's imaginary law would probably reduce divorce rates significantly.

I don't know why people entertain the shit Aestu posts when it comes to social issues. You might as well discuss Jackson Pollock with the toaster.
