If you are asking seriously what I amongst the people think, I think this whole thing will peter out.

One can't change the nature of the beast, but Mayo will likely at least be temporarily checked lest he arouse a popular will to have him ousted, something not far off.

Less probable is a change in the leadership structure or a new site. Since it is likely that FUBU will be a presence in some form in KOTR/GW2, it would be a good thing to get another site running anyway. We might even just use a guild site creator service and call it a day.

You can't oust someone from the house when they hold the keys to all the rooms...even the rooms of which you're unaware. Give it a rest. You were asking for some form of moderation when you posted that, now you're either just butthurt it wasn't the one you wanted, or happy he went a little overboard. Either way, nothing comes of it...drop it.

Yeah personally, I don't care really - it wasn't my thread and I didn't even post in it. Also, Mayo has locked threads before when others felt they shouldn't have been locked - so it's not exactly out of character.


I just would like to establish that the locking of a thread should only be done in extreme cases.

If the thread is annoyingly dumb, or not particularly interesting/relevant to the main forum or to a mod such as Mayo...just throw it in the shitfest and be done with it.

That's the solution here.

Threads should never be locked or deleted, if a poster's threads are consistently that horrid the community should move to ban them.

I don't understand why we even have separate sections so I can't comment on moving.

Rule of thumb for good moderation: "What happens if nothing is done?"
