A lot of us have quit the game...others still play but maybe there's one thing that you wanted to do or accomplish that you just didn't get done...or maybe there's some guild you left and wish you hadn't. Maybe you saw someone from <Miller Time> in a vulnerable position and didn't kill them.

Now's the time to begin the healing process by opening up! What's your biggest WoW regret?

Mine is very simple. I should have the title Hand of A'dal but stupidity prevented me from getting it.

I'd already had Vashj's Vial for a long time...all was left was that bastard Kaelthas Sunstrider who I thought I needed to down before 3.0 hit. I remember getting in quite a few pug groups that just couldn't down him (The most disappointing was a night of almost kills with a bunch of RM people including Aestu's favorite person Isamoo). Well...of course, after this long night of wiping (I think the patch was dropping the next day)...I was disappointed/distraught...so I dropped the Vials of Eternity quest. I figured it wouldn't matter since the patch was coming out and I wouldn't get the title anyway.

Later I found out I was screwed because I did this and that completing the quest after the patch was still possible if you had it pre-patch.

If I could turn back time, I would have never dropped that quest. Oh well, at least I still have Champion of the Naaru.

Not getting the ZA bear because I kept putting off doing ZA runs and spent gold that might have been spent on buying one at the last minute on dropping engineering, making the Empyrean Tortoise, then re-levelling engineering.

Close second would be making the choice to not get the Clockwork Bot pet in 2007, when Aestu was level 45, because I thought it wouldn't be something that I'd ever consider important. At this time, I'd already decided Aestu would be my new main and would be oriented towards "total completion" (which was why I'd chosen a paladin), but before the new pet/mount system, collecting every pet and mount didn't seem like a practical goal.

My biggest regret is that I wasted so much time on something that I now loathe...but I did meet you guys and have some laughs trolling and playing, so it's all good.

If the time wasn't wasted on WoW, it'd likely have been wasted on something else. Perspective above all else.

I regret that DKs even exist in the game.

Not getting the Veteran of the Shifting Sands title like an idiot.

I thought I had until cataclysm's LAUNCH to do it, so I spent some elementiums on the quests inside AQ40 (I was also doing loremaster of kalimdor). I had 9 elementium, one was on AH for 400g, and I skipped on it because I figured I'd be running bwl the next week (as every week). I had everything completed except the blue shard.

FML.

not getting Brutal Gladiator in 5s in s4.

jk there's no way we'd have ever beaten Veex's team. Our only shot at that was Innate's team farming them down and then us subsequently farming Innate. I also don't really regret that.

Not joining the Enclave until WotLK, when all the magic had gone from the guild.

There is no Veteran of the Shifting Sands title, only the feat of strenth.

Brykon, do you mean forum banned or permabanned from WoW? When and why did that happen?

Banned permanently from Wow, not forums.

A few months ago, a little after Cataclysm came out, I wanted the Archaeology mount, but I didn't want to have to put the time into getting it, so I bought the bot to do it for myself. I'm not saying this ban isn't my fault, it's completely my fault, and there is no one else to blame besides me, but, I bought it, botted it, then stopped. Around a month later, after not botting for a month, I got disconnected from Wow. I went to log back on, and I was permanently banned due to botting. I've sent in many emails and called to see if I'd ever see that account again. They made it clear there is no chance they're reactivating it. I only tried to get it back because I had no warnings on the account, so I thought maybe there'd be a chance that I'd get a second chance. Blizzard is pretty persuasive, but they most defiantly don't mess around with third party programs. So, I got a new hunter, Verlad. He's 2700ish in areans, and he's just what I play now.

Due to me getting banned, I've lost a lot of interest in the game, no doubt. I have no motivation to gain mounts, titles, or do anything of that in the game anymore. I just arena, and do some pvp, but that's about it. Losing Brykon for sure made me get less addicted to the game itself, which I somewhat miss. It's just not the same to gain something sentimental to my character, and be proud of it, to have it on my character. There's nothing enjoyable to get anymore when it's not on the character you grew up with and spent the most on. I'd say the biggest loss on my ban was Baron Rivendare's mount, and The Light of Dawn, the two hardest things I achieved in wow. Baron's mount due to how long it took, and how happy I finally felt once I got it to drop after all the time. Light of Dawn since it was server second, and was a fun encounter overall.

I'm actually surprised you haven't heard I got banned, or heard Verlad. Also, I thought my FUBU signature gave it away ^_^.

Blizzard doesn't have a problem with botting, they're pretty tolerant of mining/fishing/BG bots; despite endless tickets from multiple people they keep going for years.

They just decided to bring the hammer down on archaeology bots because the devs were wounded by the insinuation that archaeology isn't fun.

That attitude is what brings us here to this thread.

Yeah I thought they just handed out 72 hour bans, not perma bans, for botting. I guess botting to level archaeology is where they draw the line.

lol, what a joke.
