So I've been bored lately and have been playing Final Fantasy VII again. Got to the 3rd disk now and am enjoying Chocobo racing.

That's not enough for me though, I want to make the fastest Gold Chocobo ever! What are some of your fastest if you can remember?
I've been working on getting the fastest Great Female and Male Chocobos I can find. Using those to further progress the speed chain.
So far fastest Male Great I've found without enhancing with Greens is 82 KPH.

While I fucked up on Female Great Chocobos by using greens on the fastest one I found before I recorded her regular speed. So I've been having to green all the females so far.

I vaguely recall getting it well into the three digits.

Are the mechanics of the breeding documented? How far can the variables be manipulated - does it cap out or with enough breeding can you max out speed to 999?

Why not go play Pokemon, or some other Final Fantasy game?

Personally, I'm playing through FF IV International again. I imported an English-language edition from the EU, with all the bug fixes and extra content the American version didn't get.

As I'm fond of saying, I see Aestu as Cecil's spiritual successor. Especially since Aestu's first sword formerly belonged to Cecil.
