To his credit, he actually articulated that regardless of his inclinations, that's not how we roll...which is honestly the greatest thing I've ever heard him say.

And it's also his Achilles heel.

Great presidents like the ones I named - FDR, Truman and Lincoln - were willing to overstep their authority when leadership was needed - when the ship of state needed to be put back on course.

That video is why Obama is a great man, and would be a great president in better times, but doesn't have what it takes to be a great president in the here and now.

Our republic is in peril. Sometimes it is necessary to break the law in order to save it.
