A. The Anarchists

Values: Freedom
Opposes all institutions, public and private, unless their authority is less than the extent to which they diminish the power of authority as a whole. Believes that institution in any and all forms should exist only to ensure freedom of thought and action. Opposes all imposition of ideas, structure and bias by anything. Cares only about economic quality of life insofar as it promotes the power of the individual.

B. The Liberals

Includes: Fanta, Zaryi, Tuhl, Joklem, Dvergar
Values: Justice
Puts supreme importance upon social justice, and believes that all individuals and institutions have moral worth in context of advancing this goal. Believes that equality of opportunity is more important than the quantitative value of the final outcome. Believes that personal freedom is best protected through calculated limits on absolute freedom. Believes that absolute political and economic freedoms are less important than the equitability of said freedoms.

C. The Fascist

Includes: Aestu
Values: Order
Defines all social, political, cultural and economic life as subject to the social contract. Places supreme value on social order, believing order to be the final guarantor of a good and moral life. Believes that the fate of a nation follows the moral worth of its citizens and therefore defines the role of the state as great equalizer and protector of social values. Considers the preservation of order and stability more important than any particular political or economic system. Believes that free markets exist only to serve the interests of the nation-state.

D. The Libertarians

Includes: Weena, Meowth, Jubber, Brawl, Usd, Eturnal
Values: Autonomy
Believes that freedom from contrived systems of social control is more important than the imperfections of society, and believes that any efforts to manipulate social values will inevitably prove self-defeating. Believes that the right to one's gains is more important than the quality of the society that yields those gains. Believes that social values are themselves fundamentally illusory and subject to individual judgement.

E. The Pacifist

Includes: Azelma
Values: Harmony
Believes that conflict is inherently destructive and that supreme good is best ensured by the settlement of any and all conflicts. Does not believe in absolute values. Believes that populism and adherence to contemporary values is the best guarantor of good.

F. The Canadian

Includes: Jushiro
Values: Quiet
Sheltered by eusocial Canadian life and baffled by the ideological wrangling of other points of view. Believes that all would be well if everyone was quiet and just got along. Any potential for conflict is enervated by vicarious amusement at the political coliseum.

I love it

I love you.

Obviously, you fail to grasp the concept. You do too much for people, and they become dependent. You do too little, and they lose hope/faith. It takes a light touch, like a pickpocket, or a safe-cracker.

It requires balance, and it's a balance our current system of governance has lost.

People have free will. In general, you'd have to be depraved to use that free will to engage in activities that repeatedly put you in miserable situations. Yet our current system either provides incentives for people to engage in those sorts of activities, or removes the disincentives that would restrain most rational people. Freedom doesn't come without responsibility, yet we have a system that in many ways encourages abdicating responsibility.

A man who is truly free isn't a dependent, because what freedom a dependent man has is a thin illusion. When you rely on another/others for everything, you're beholden to your keeper(s), and your freedom ends where they say. Our system has made dependents of too many people, many of whom are able and capable...is that freedom? I say unto thee most assuredly, "nay."
