I'm looking to buy a decent Jet ski for next summer to have fun with. If anyone knows anything about them, good brands to look for, what accessories to have, etc. I wouldn't want to go buy one that's not somewhat decent from what I'm looking for.

I'll probably play 1,500-2,000ish dollars (I saw on craigslist/random websites you can find them for this cheap that look nice, but I'm going to also try to look for some people nearby that I know that have them that sit around doing nothing and bargain them for it :P) I'm not looking for a top of the line 2011 jet ski, just something cheap that I can have fun on most of the days. Gotta spend my money I get from playing videos games on something worth while :P.

Jet Skis are win as fuck. I used one on our vacation to NC this summer, fastest I was able to go and maintain control on choppy water was like 35 mph. And that was like godmode for me.

ur probly gonna end up way over budget on this one, anything used in the water is nothing but a money pit. they require endless maintenance if theyre not brand new, they use an insane amount of gas, not to mention money spent on trailers and tags if ur not living on the water. they are fun tho >.> make sure u get a wakeboard to go with it

I've got a trailer, and since my father thinks it's a great idea, he's going to help me towards maintenance and gas and shit. But yeah, I can see going over a little bit just to get something a little better or such :P.

Meh, I've got dirtbikes. I've got a beach house a block away from the ocean and 3 blocks from the bay. I think I can have much more fun living down there for the summer time having a jet ski.^_^
