So, here I was at 183 and I decided to put myself on a diet. I thought I was getting fat. I couldn't see my abs anymore and my pants felt tighter. I knew I had to do something otherwise I'd keep plumping up. Then there's this bitch, who is eating 20,000 calories a day (which is 18,500 more than I'm doing a day) and she's trying to hit the 800lb mark. I'm all for people doing what they want with their bodies, but this is repulsive to me. I don't understand how anyone can be so reckless.

1) Should people like this (who purposely increase their weight and size) be denied handicap parking or other services the truly handicap are privy to? What about private and/or tax-paid health care?
2) Being unable to work (due to her size), she's getting the money from somewhere to cover her sick obsession. If it's from some public funding, should she be cut off? If she is cut off, do you find a way to get her to repay, like a lien on her house?
3) Do you consider this child neglect? She has a 12 year old son.
4) Upon her death, should the insurance company rule it as a suicide so they don't have to pay out for her eating herself to death?
5) For $3,000,000, would you hit it for one hour while someone takes pictures for some Chubby website?

I'm impressed she can stand.

For $3,000,000 I'd hit it, as long as I was guaranteed no STDs. I'm just not sure I could get it up if faced with that.

It shouldnt' be considered a handicap if its voluntary, I don't think. Morally speaking, anyway.

Morals and the law don't always mix though.

One could argue the desire to be incredibly obese is a mental handicap.

In any case, it's pretty impractical to impose such law, and considering the few instances where someone else had no handicap spot to park in because of her, furthers the silliness of such legislation.


That's bullshit.

I had a teacher in highschool who was fucking huge. She got stuck in her car a couple times. There's plenty of productive things one can do sitting down, and a number of things that can be done while never leaving your house.

Anyway, if she's aided by public funding, then she has no incentive to get to a reasonable size and be productive. She should be left to her own devices, then she might think (or might have thought) twice about being huge. Now if she actually looked like she was older than 25-30, and had maybe actually paid into such things, I'd be a little less apt drop her.


That becomes a lesser of two evils. Does little Billy stay with mommy who does adequately take care of him, but will probably die before 18. Or do you just through little Billy into the foster system that usually sucks ass, but does adequately care for him, and get the shock of foster care over with early with the possibility of a great foster family showing up?

And I'm giving the benefit of the doubt when I assume she's adequately taking care of her kid.


She doesn't have life insurance, that's moot.

But if she did, it would all depend on the contract. Considering how much she'd have to pay in premiums, I would hope that it paid something out.


Considering I could retire myself immediately and my immediate family once they hit 40, yes.

Money definitely in cash and up front though.

Also, I think you mean BBW website (she is far from chubby). Which I would like to bring up a point: BBW =/= take up the entire king size mattress with your ass fat. Atleast it shouldn't, there really needs to be a separate category for those kinds of people.

What I find really creepy about that article is how in every picture, she has this totally self-satisfied smile on her face - she is quite literally living the dream. All the other faces, though, have this "get me out of this nightmare" look. Especially her younger son. That look on his face in both pictures is tragic.

Also the picture of her in the supermarket motorcart. You see she's just totally euphoric as she reaches up to grab a bottle of soda. She can eat or drink whatever she wants and has constructed a pretense to do so.

That "diet" at the bottom is bullshit. Look what's in the cart. A ton of junk food. The thing is, though, it's telling - this person isn't getting fat as a trip, they're getting fat because they have officially opted out of weight management in favor of, "I stuff my face." When she says, "I wasn't always obese," what's really going on is, "I started to notice I was gaining weight but couldn't handle adjusting my life."

The thing is...if she really just wanted to gain weight with a minimum of time and risk, she'd eat the foods that exist expressly for that purpose: bodybuilder food, processed grains and protein. Since muscle is heavier than fat, and a developed body can support more sheer mass (see: sumo wrestlers and football players), again, if she REALLY wanted to be the fattest woman in the world, she'd do full-body exercise and eat more to make up the calorie expenditure. This is how sumos and football players get to be living refrigerators.



I honestly don't think it would be that bad.

Comparing sex with that thing with sex with a human female is like comparing carrying water in a towel with carrying water in a bucket. The former is impossibly inefficient, but by corollary, it's also less burdensome.

You sit there and whack this thing for an hour while it just lays there. It's not like having sex with a leper or a dog - something that's by its nature interactive.



This is why psychiatry is bunk...and merely a shill for popular values.




People like this truly scare me. Moral relativism to the Nth degree.

You want to know how she's paying for it - my bet is credit. Food stamps won't cover that sheer volume of food, and she can't work or pay other bills. It will be interesting to see what happens when she simply runs out of credit. We should follow this and see where she's at in 5-10 years. Also her children. Interesting anthropic study.

Finally - I noticed this person lives in Arizona. Where everything wrong with society is because of Mexican immigrants.

My brain is trying to follow the loop-de-loop logic of following "shill for popular values" with a complaint about "moral relativism." Either the prevailing moral culture (popular values) are good and should be encouraged or they're bad and there's nothing wrong with moral relativism. Pick one or the other and give us the usual TL;DR about why the choice you made is the better of the two, please.

Relativism is both itself a popular value and a shill for other popular values.

People are always going to have biases, prejudices, and personal values. That is not necessarily wrong - having clearly defined values is the very definition of morality.

Relativism is bad because it represents a refusal to analyze and compare values - most of all one's own. When relativism becomes a popular value, people refuse to analyze their own personal values. In this case, the woman refuses to question whether it is right or wrong to eat whatever she wants and grow hideously fat.

Life being what it is, people have to get along, and society will always in some way reflect the sum attitudes of individuals and groups. Relativism, in the literal sense - absolute tolerance - is fundamentally a lie. Of course most people find someone like this disgusting. But the value of "relativism" prevents actioning that attitude.

So what we see in this article, is the product of both relativism and popular values: The Lowest Common Denominator. If it feels good, do it, and anyone or anything that says otherwise is instantly bad.

This is how we reconcile the attitudes of many fat people that they are okay, and the attitudes of other people that being fat is bad. You can see this kind of duality between relativism and other popular values in many aspects of society - affirmative action, for example.

These were initial thoughts as well. She probably realized she could never be skinny because of a lack of motivation to stop being lazy and do something about her obesity, so she decided to be as fat as she possibly could because at least if it was "on purpose", she wouldn't feel as bad about herself.
