Reporting in: Just woke up. Small branches in the yard but nothing big. Lots of leaves, too. Looking at neighbors houses they're just as lucky it seems. The water monitor I put in the sump pump reservoir didn't alarm last night so I guess we didn't get that much rain here. The lights flickered once so I got the generator ready just in case... but the power never went out. Now I have a generator with a bone-dry gas tank for another day, I guess.

Looks cool and breezy this morning... might take a bike ride to survey damage around the neighborhood...

Absolutely nothing happened except the power going out for 10 seconds about 3 times. We drained the pool a bit, took all the furniture in, etc etc all for nothing...

The wind was pretty strong at 1am, but that was pretty much it. Pool is a bit green, which sucks, but other than that we got jewed.

Hurricane Irene was a lot like Internet Dating. A whole lot of buildup, but all-in-all very anti-climatic.

Power's out all over most of central New Jersey, my house being one of them. Lots of trees/large branches littering the streets/downing power lines. Flooding in coastal areas. Apartment in Manhattan is totally unaffected, though.

If destruction exists, we must destroy everything.
