and my black/blue mill deck

You'll have to tell me what you finish with, I ran one along time ago when I made complete shit decks that were shit even by fun non-competitive standards.

I was thinking what I'd do with that deck now, but I'm not obtaining any cards anytime soon so I can't really be assed.

Don't try to be an ass with it and run an infinite mill like I tried last time. The mana costs and number of needed cards is astronomical.

I don't recall which cards but I think there is an infinite mill with 2 or 3 cards.

All of my knowledge is based on old stuff though.

I don't remember the combo exactly, but it revolved around 3 artifacts and something else.

It was basically turn everything into an artifact, destroy one artifact to make everyone draw 3 cards, and another to replace the lost mana or something. I drew too, but I'd make them draw more with things like Traumatize, etc.

Well, it's not strictly mill. The black is more discarding and the blue focuses on the mill. With Liliana's Caress (2 life dmg when opponent discards) and force draws like Sign in Blood (opponent draws 2 cards, loses 2 life) the black does some nice direct life dmg. The mills are extreme, like Nemesis of Reason (10 cards to graveyard when it attacks), Traumatize (top half of deck to graveyard) combo'ed with Keening Stone (discard same number of cards in graveyard) if I'm lucky, and the simple 1 mana-cost mills like Tome Scour (top 5 cards to graveyard).

I'll let you know when I bring myself to ordering the cards and pwn some friends lol.

Update! Looks like I got way too into magic, but fuck it I have no real need for money atm anyway.

DECK LIST

-White Soldier Weenie (my best deck thus far)
-Black/Green Infect
-Blue/Green/Artifact Golem Deck
-Blue/Black Mill
-Red/Green Eldrazi (love this one!)
-Red/Black Bloodthirst
-Red Phoenix Burn Deck
-5 Color Avatar Deck (needs a shitton of work)

Any tips for a 5 color deck? I can't seem to make it work, I always lack the proper lands. I'm using mainly the lieges and spirit avatars from Eventide/Shadowmoor. Also, wtb spirit avatar cards PST.

Actually, I'm gonna go ahead and make that official. If any of you fgts have:

- Dominus of Fealty (Eventide)
- Deity of Scars (Eventide)
- Demigod of Revenge (Shadowmoor)
- Divinity of Pride (Eventide)
- Ghastlord of Fugue (Shadowmoor)
- Nobilis of War (Eventide)

I'd like to purchase them from you. Let me know and we can work out a price.

So, I didn't know what the spirit avatars were and had to look them up. After doing so, I would say a 5 color deck using them will be very hard to get to work. I don't really know all the other cards from these sets, but you're looking at requiring at least 3 of a single land type before playing them from a 5 color deck, and those aren't good odds. Most 5 colors decks I've seen rely on spells with low specific mana costs, one or two of a certain type.

However, if you're determined to use them go for it. Part of the fun is trying to win with less than optimal decks. I have a 5 color dragon deck I used to dick around with. I ended up with a bunch of old legendary dragons and wanted to use them all, so I just threw something together. One thing I highly recommend you picking up is exhume. Remember that you can just do nothing on the first turn and discard a big creature with the intention of exhuming him two turns later.

Most of the other things I used are probably either banned by now (Fastbond, Demonic tutor), or are wimpy compared to the power creep of the recent cards.

Shit, Exhume is sweet. Only problem is that my OCD prevents me from using cards that don't have that "new look" with the black border and all that jazz. I actually ran into some problems at my local card store because I really need some Lightning Bolts too but they only had the old white border ones :(

So did no one here play Eventide/Shadowmoor?

You should feel bad for caring about border colors at all. The last time I bought MTG cards (not counting a raid deck Weena and I got to mess around with) was around Ravnica/Kamigawa era. So.. 5 years ago?

Can't help it lol

I have been buying a lot of Ravnica singles lately since I'm a fan of the multi-color cards
