If someone walks up to me and tells me the sky is red, am I an elitist for saying they're stupid and wrong?

I'm a conservative if I applaud them for standing up against the liberal elite and putting them on my write-in ballot for president (Everyone on the Republican ballot except for Mitt Romney, I'm looking at you).

Pretty much this. I know many of you dislike Mayo, but hell, he really knows how to hit the nail squarely on the head sometimes.

Not saying ALL conservatives think like this, but A LOT do. And we don't need every single republican to think like this to drag our country down.

PPS: A great majority of Americans identify themselves as being religious, so praying isn't exactly a 'fringe' concept done by a 'fringe' group.

Praying for rain is laughable. Absolutely ridiculous that people think that this is "normal behavior."

So its ok for your president to fight his way into people believing he was a practicing christian in reverend wrights church, but its not ok for anyone to actually pray if they're a candidate for president?

I'm sorry, but this nation still has freedom of religion, last I checked. For BOTH sides of the aisle.

Its less of him practicing a faith and more of him being crazy enough to get thousands of people together to pray for rain. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have a president that doesn't think he can pray away his problems.
