I don't fucking watch tv..

I can't be arsed to sift through 99% bullshit for a 1% chance of finding a gem worth watching.

Also, I prefer interactiveness to watching tv. Hence, computer / videogames > TV.

So who's going as a TV set for Halloween?*

*to keep thread slightly OT

am actually doing the viking thing, will try to get at least one decent picture. It won't beat TF2, but it should be neat all the same.

I'm going to shave my head and face, put some conscruction paper in a fire pattern, staple it to the inside of the back collar of my biker jacket, and go as ghost rider.

He has a point. I'm living with one other dude and I'm not going to pay $40 a month to watch Always Sunny and The Office every week. Especially if:

a) I can watch it online for free.
b) I can walk 5 minutes down the street and watch it at my friends house.

Oh I'm not arguing that, I just wanted to use that picture.

TV sucks not to mention commercials lol.

I can stomach going to the movie theater maybe 3 times a year.

Having sucky hearing doesn't help, so I try to avoid movies with a lot of dialogue and verbal interaction. I like being able to figure out wtf is going on visually. This doesn't necessarily mean 'no plot, all action'. Silent movies had no verbal interaction, and hardly any action. People could figure those out okay.

I go to movies if I'm bored or I really wanna see it.

I try and avoid it though. It's not worth paying 10 dollars to sit down and 5-10 minutes in know the entire plot of the movie (Looking mostly at you plot twist films!).

They think it was caused at an extremely early age or during pregnancy, with a delayed onset. So while my hearing was inevitably in decline, my speech was unaffected because I didn't stop losing hearing gradually over time until about 4.

I was raised as a baby hearing the voices of my parents and others around me and learned that way. Audiologists estimate my speech would have been a lot different now and as a child had the onset not been delayed.

I wear hearing aids but even those do not correct it to 100% or even close levels. I have about 40% hearing in my right ear and 60% in my left ear.

I needed an excuse to bring a sword to work.

I left the coconuts on my desk, though.
