I'm just curious, since you always love to cite the USPS as an example of the government "working" - why are they hiring advisers to help them figure out how to not bleed cash?

Can Ron Bloom, the restructuring expert who helped shore up the automobile and steel industries, save the ailing U.S. Postal Service?
The labor union representing more than 280,000 current and retired letter carriers is hoping so.
Yesterday, the National Association of Letter Carriers announced that it had hired Bloom and Lazard, the financial advisory and asset-management firm, to develop a strategy to revitalize the deficit-laden Postal Service.

The announcement comes as the Postal Service, facing a deficit of nearly $10 billion this fiscal year, is confronting critical problems in both revenue and expenses.
With nearly 600,000 employees, the agency has huge labor costs even as first-class mail has been declining because of the use of email.
I guess you're right though...this IS a government organization working as intended. They just lost a huge deposit check I sent in the mail about a month ago...so yeah, thanks again USPS!
