It's stupid (and scary) how people these days are bred into buying what they're TOLD. And neither Blizzard nor anyone else will admit it but the real reason they're selling to women and children is they know they can sell shit on a stick and women will buy it if they think that's what everyone else is doing, and they will believe whatever they think everyone else believes (the sock puppet chorus on the forums) no matter how obviously outrageous.

No, it's because men tend to have stronger internal morality (think in terms of their own preferences and beliefs) while women tend to have stronger external morality (think in terms of what others perceive). This is also why so many women become Jesus Freaks.

This is also why women are typically inferior gamers. They are content with mediocre performance, so long as it is perceived as satisfactory by those immediately around them. Men are much more likely to challenge themselves internally, or to measure themselves against the apex of the pyramid. Women are more focused on those at their own level, and that prevents them from transcending it.

idk about part 3, but Uncharted 2 was pretty cool, a bit linear, not sure how 3 is getting like all 10/10's but I'm sure it will be enjoyable. That said, waiting on my BF3 till tomorrow after school

i'm not saying these games are horrendous, although i don't find them very good. it's just from gaming magazines that i read as a kid, a 10/10 score implied that it was so far above and beyond everything else. ocarina of time is the easiest example of this. not some on rails "game" that's more like a B rated hollywood action movie. i don't even get how they compare it to tomb raider in terms of platforming.

the graphics part still has me lolling the next day though. the best looking game since crysis gets a 9, and this gets a 10. not to nitpick, but you can see the polygons on his character model.

I started as a kid with a nintendo, I remember my father bringing home Super Mario 3 the week it was released as a surprise for me and my sister (I think he played it more that week than we did). I remember the christmas I got my super nintendo, and when I got a genesis (fuck I sound spoiled, the nes and genesis were slightly used when we got them, the super nintendo was new).

I never got a 64 though. I played the shit out of the Zelda games, but when I bought a junky's 64 in college and played OoT and Mask, I was completely let down. I couldn't really get into either of them and really didn't see what the big deal was. I'm sure they're alright games, but a lot of this hype for the 64 zeldas seems to come from nostalgia more than merit.

SMB3 was a failure because most people who bought it didn't see all the content.
