how the hell is zuckerberg even on the list? i also don't remotely get how GabeN is above Miyamoto, and that has nothing to do with being a nintendo fan. GabeN's favorite game of all time was lead by Miyamoto, fuck.

Yeah I have an iPhone as well, but I can't stand most other apple products. Or apple itself. I even dislike apples.

nintendo is THE grandfather of all video games, and still makes fun ones(just little innovation ie mario and zelda games)

apple hasn't been doing much that i've been aware of except cell phone games. feel free to educate me on anything else they've done video game wise.

Pretty much nothing important. I think it's more signaling a shift in demographic to mobile based games, as they become more graphically advanced and fun to play.

Here's where I think the disconnect lies:

These are gaming industry people. They're not game reviewers and they're not just game fans. Their choices might seem wacky to us because we think our childhood favorites were clearly the best games ever, while these people realize that angry birds made 70 million on a game that only cost 140k and farmville has 80 million users while the original Nintendo has only sold 62 million units.

Not that I agree with the list.

Exactly. An NES could never compete in the same market as Call of Duty: 27. But there is still a demand for NES like games. Emulators and plug n play sets sold by as seen on tv companies, etc. I don't think it's recognizing people for making the most advanced, graphically impressive, AI implemented games with the best story line. It is recognizing those who have uncovered the possibility for profit in a relatively untapped market.

which is exactly why everything is so terrible now. it's all about the dosh. these aren't just random joes, this was apparently answered by actual game devs.

glad to know the future of gaming is armorgames. the fact that angrybirds has done what it has is probably the most depressing thing ever in the history of vidya. more depressing then the fucking E.T game.

i honestly hope for a video game crash in the next few years. maybe it will fucking fix itself from this endless pit of aids.
