Just because I don't feel like bumping my other 4.3 thread and I want to focus more on the Darkmoon Faire in this one.

Here's a video of some of the basic stuff if you don't want to read through all that MMO champ stuff.


I'm looking forward to see how the new Deathmatch Mechanic is going to work as well as how many people form raids to camp it! Perhaps though it will be an ongoing thing like STV Arena and people will just hangout there. The whole feel, especially the initial road to the faire and even on the map made me want to play Fable. All in all, looks like something for everyone.

Profession quests, RP gear for Transmog, pets, mounts, PvP and what looks to be actual fun games.

This actually looks really, really cool. Not cool enough to get many people to come back, I'm sure, but cool nonetheless. It has an Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus vibe, from what the video shows, which I like a lot. But it's still just a tiny addition to a game that's got no chance of ever becoming truly fun again, and it --- like the rest of WoW at this point --- will get old.

Why are we still talking about WoW?

Also, looking at the arena on the PTR, it's already being camped by raids of 20-40 people. I really wish they would make it so when you're in the ring you just become "Rogue" or "Horde Rogue" and you have some default wierd model and make it so you can't group. That way, it'd be that much harder to tell who was friend and who was foe, even if you weren't grouped.

You know I've literally never completed a quest or turned in one card for the Darkmoon Faire.

I did because buying the individual cards was cheaper than entire decks. And I had inscription for a bit.

Just FYI for those that play, the old DMF tickets will turn into tattered DMF tickets and be vendor junk. So if you have a stack of them in your bank go spend them this week. BTW the fair is outside Shatt this week.
