The "what has Obama done" site is kind of self-defeating, in that at least every third thing that pops up is absolutely fucking terrible and he should feel bad to have his name associated with it.

The republican candidates are pretty fucking terrible, though.

He's been in office for three years and you guys tout this list of 46 items as things that he's done as if it's a big accomplishment? Some of those are joke accomplishments... but hey, if that's what he's going to tout as his key successes during his stay then bring it on. "I signed a bill to close Guantanamo!" (That place is still open.) "I appointed a Latina to the Supreme Court!" (Cool?) "I made some arbitrary number as the new 'standard' for fuel economy, starting in a year that's a couple years away!" (I wonder how much that's going to cost the American consumer, tax payer and if it's even possible.) "I appointed a bunch of gays to the government!" (Who cares?)

Cute list, though.

"Here's a list."

Well now that he's had four years, and has actually done some things (as opposed to showing up and voting "present"), I'm not going to say he's "inexperienced," I'll just say he's out-of-his-depth, I'm not happy with his job performance, and the next time the board of directors (the voters, that is) meet to elect officers, I'm going to be casting my vote for "not Obama."

Thanks. I don't know why people can't just say "I don't like the guy" as opposed to making a bunch of bullshit up to make themselves think they have legitimate reasons (EDIT: I feel like I should stress that I'm not trying to say that "not liking a guy" isn't a legitimate reason).

Spoiler (highlight to view):
Eturnal does it because he's desperately trying to convince himself that he isn't racist.

Mayo doesn't like Herman Cain because Mayo is a nigger-hating racist.

I like Barack Obama. I'd have him over for dinner. He seems like a genuinely decent human being, a good father, and probably a real bro when he knows the wife isn't checking up on him. It's just that he sucks as a President.

I don't know if I've ever said it here before now, but I think everybody wants pretty much the same things: good schools, jobs for everyone, a decent standard of living, unicorns farting rainbows at kittens, etc., etc. The only disagreement we have is how we define those things and/or how we get to those things. Sadly, we can't seem to have that disagreement without turning it into "those guys are a bunch of evil fucks" because "Republicans want your <insert whatever we're arguing about here> to die in poverty," or because "Democrats are a bunch of godless commies that want to take your guns."

I hate to say someone has a point when they've just used the "N"-word, but looking at Herman Cain's accomplishments and referring to him as "the pizza guy" is pretty much the same thing as ignoring the last four years and calling Obama inexperienced.

I'm going to have to stop hanging out here...you guys are a bunch of racists.

I don't like Herman Cain because he's a sex offender and his tax plan sounds like one of those shitty local commercials for cars or mattresses or something.

On the other hand, I like Herman Cain because he quotes the Pokemon movie in speeches.

Don't lie to yourself. You don't care about his tax plan or allegations against him - You just don't like Herman Cain because he's black.

In all honesty, I have yet to see a compelling reason why any other legitimate candidate would be better than Obama. Only someone radical (Ron Paul) would be able to do anything different. Mitt Romney? Get real.

We're screwed anyway, might as well let the O-man get another 4 years to try to fix shit.

What makes you think that gold and silver will rise in value more than other tangibles?

When I say "fiat money" in this context, what I mean is the irresponsible flooding of the market with currency in the hope that value and commerce can be created out of thin air. There's a difference between that and the normal and responsible printing of currency to provide a means of exchange.

You could argue that specie is the ultimate fiat money as it serves as currency only because "we say so".
