I think Cain is a very aggressive womanizer who put himself in a series of compromising situations and abused company funds towards this end.

Sexual assault? Yes and no. He definitely touched a lot of these women "without permission" (as if that's how it ever really works), but I think the truth is that most of these women were hussies who wanted free stuff for being cute and were indignant they should actually have to put out. This one, the one who claims she had the long relationship with him and looks like she's "just finished crying", is a gold digger plain and simple. She got millions in cash, gifts and trips years ago and now there's no doubt she's getting free lunches and basking in the limelight (read: drama whore) in the here and now.

The most ridiculous thing, to me, is that these women all look like casting tryouts for Sex And The City. Iirc, the one part of an episode I happened to glimpse at is one of those thirty-something women having an affair with some "power executive" on a corporate jet. And in the here and now you see these women are ridiculously done-up, dyed hair, plastic surgery, showing cleavage, as if they're still in their twenties and on the catwalk...because that's all they bring to the table...and in the there and then they were living what is every woman's fantasy. It's pure hypocrisy.

Setting aside the feminist QQ, the real import of these revelations, so far as anything relevant goes, is Cain's poor character not in that he committed marital infidelity or sexual escapades but that he did so with such poor discretion and in a manner that suggests a capacity for serious abuse of power. If he wanted to do what I one day want to do, which is just buy a harem, he should have done so...on his own time, and out of his paycheck, and on his own estate. Furthermore, he exercised incredibly poor judgement in trying to conceal the facts of the matter rather than bring them out on his own terms - a lack of judgement, trust, courage and honesty that disqualifies the man for president.

Clinton could at least defend his poor judgement on the basis that there was only one woman and no paper trail. There's a difference between trying to hide a femur and a half dozen rotting bodies.

As i recall about clinton, there was only one woman when he was president.

There were others previous to his administration.

I am curious about cain though. If he actually did sexually harass women and then they took money to shut up, and signed an agreement, wouldn't they be in some kind of trouble for coming forward? Not that he'd ever try to take any to court if he has any sense.

The Pizza is out of politics so glad that this fool decided to bow out. It's all a setup for Romney, Newt is the next to fall.

Because in the spirit of non-violent, live and let live Ron Paul, I gruesomely kill people with a sign depicting his likeness.

Romney has the most to lose from another candidate leaving the race, because the people supporting a Cain or a Gingrich ARE NOT going to vote for Romney. The more "Tea Party" candidates disappear, the more likely you are to find the actual front-runner (but it won't be Bachman...so look for it to be Gingrich, because Perry is an idiot). Huntsman and Romney aren't getting the nomination...and if they do, we'll have a repeat of 2008.

Do you actually believe that Gingrich:
a) is going to get the nomination?
and
b) he actually has a chance in the general election?

This is why it's great. An uninterested, unorganized conservative base is great for America.

Of course, because the last three years or so (2 of those with liberals in charge of both houses of the legislature and the executive branch) have proven how beneficial liberal governance is to country.
