In celebration of that, we just passed this years National Defense Authorization Act. Fortunately the bill has been able to keep sections 1031, 1032 and 1034.

For those of you that are wondering what the fuck I am talking about... well you'll have some time to look it over while being held indefinitely.

I forget what the term is called, but I believe he can veto just the sections of the bill and pass the rest.

In any case, it sounds like he's going to sign off on the whole thing.

It's called a line item veto. Was proposed during the Clinton administration. Didn't make it out of Congress.

I like the line item veto idea. hate it didn't make it in, although obviously congress likes to keep as much power as possible.

Still, if obama passes the patriot act on crack, how many of you will still vote for him?

I know whatever Republican fucktard ends up getting the nomination won't be any better than Obama, and could possibly be worse. The entire political system in this country is a sham. We've lost any semblance of control.

Obama is just the same as every politician before him in this modern era. A corporate puppet. He ran on this platform of "hope" and "change" but he has extended the Patriot act, now won't veto this NDAA bullshit, and is basically in bed with all the fucks trying to take away our personal freedoms in the name of "national security." I'm not voting for any of the candidates this time. I don't like obama, and the republican party would be better off picking up some janitor to run over thos fucking martians.

I don't even want to entertain the thought of what Romney or Gingrich would be capable of with those powers.

EDIT: This whole thing is entirely directed at the OWS people. If people weren't afraid of them, they wouldn't send entire police departments to destroy their camps, infiltrate their group, and try to provoke fights.
