I hate that.

Can't wear heels out because I feel awkwardly tall, towering 4-5" over the rest of the group.

Sorry, the effect that heels have on a womans ass aboslutely negate any awkwardness from height.

Heels raise the angle of a woman's buttocks by 30 to 40 degrees making her rear look younger and firmer. Women also tend to be more confident when they are taller than their companions. I have to agree. In my last show I had to run around stage in these huge stripper heels so that I was taller than the main character. It helped with any nervousness I was harboring immensely.
