You didn't kill your accomplice. I agree with charges such as manslaughter if you rob a store and someone dies of a heart attack though.
Felony-murder is second-degree, in jurisdictions that have degrees of murder.
You did kill your accomplice. In enterprising to commit a crime, you were the proximate cause of his death. I don't particularly like the rule, but it's not totally groundless.
If destruction exists, we must destroy everything.
