I saw this thread with the idea of a Magic the Gathering tattoo sleeve.

I am disappoint. Edit: I'm probably just tattoo high because of my appointment tomorrow.

You must be using them wrong.

Did they change the LIFO rule? That sounds just like dumbing down the fast effect metagame, tbh.

5) Combat Damage No Longer Uses the Stack

It is still first in last out, but you can't pull off silly things during battle anymore. Examples are given in the first paragragh. But to expand on the first one using Mogg Fanatic, you cannot block a creature with 1 Toughness killing it in combat while sacrificing itself to deal 1 damage to another creature likely killing that one also.

The removal of damage on stack thing gave me the shits when i first started playing the steam game. I had that creature R/Tap/Sac a creature for a shock and it wouldn't let me use it after damage. I was like all raging. STUPID DUMBED DOWN PC BULLSHIT OMG WHY U PENALISE ME FOR BEING BETTER. Then i googled and saw the rule updates and went lolz.

That's what not touching a card since Lorwyn will do.

Makes sense tbh. Mogg fanatic went from good to godly when they first put the stack rule in.

I can't even remember how the game felt pre-stack now that i think about it. Too long ago.

Either all these rules chages and reversions went in after I stopped, or we never played it to the letter of the rules. We never played with combat damage on the stack. If a defender became tapped after being declared a defender, it took damage but dealt no damage. If you sac'd a creature during combat it wouldn't do it's damage, but still count as a blocker.

That was quite a long time ago though, we were fairly young and didn't really care about making sure all the rules were right as long and things seemed right.

I played Yugioh for a long time before Magic and that was seriously the dumbest ruling I have ever seen in a game. That doesn't even make sense. Plus it took me a while to remember I could use my own creature abilities even when it wasn't my turn.

But then again one of the guys in my school had some deck with Goblin Bombardment, Lifeline (before we knew about erata text), and tokens + other green cards that spawned more 1/1s so it was just a race to take him out before the rest of us got taken down one by one.

Still seems like dumbing down to the level of Pokemon/Wowtcg. Using fast effects to cheat combat stack was something I always saw as the point of the game. If you want a ridiculously fast-paced creature-gibbing game, go play Wowtcg.

It should still make sense. Dead creatures shouldn't deal damage.

I can't think of another game i've played ever where you could respond to damage after its dealt. Usually when you're below 1hp, you die, like right away.

From reading that link, that's not a good example of what i said at all. Also i now feel dirty for reading something CoD related. Ignorance is bliss.

That doesn't sound remotely useful at all. Also,
