The day before everyone who bought ToR at release would pay for their next month, the "cancel sub" button apparently now redirects to renewing your sub (even if you already have one) and both the ToR website and Bioware Customer Support are supposedly down due to "incredibly high traffic".

Either EA is shutting everything down to milk another month out of people or people are quitting in such droves that its literally breaking their servers. IDK which is worse.

EDIT: According to this link, they're giving out a free title to anyone who buys game time before March 19th.

The more I read about this, the more it seems like retards and people who just really, really want to hate on star wars.

Some people are saying the link doesn't work, many people are saying it's fine. Then some more people are complaining that the 'cancel your subscription' option is in the subscription section.

This wowfanboy vs starwarsnerd shit is just rediculous. Just play whatever you like and try to keep the sand out of your vaginas. 'oh noes, starwarsguy69/xXxleegoolaaasxXx just said blahblahblah about tor/wow and qqqqqqqqq' who the fuck cares, stop being a pathetic twat.

I can give less of a shit of the whole "wow v. tor" debate. I got hustled by EA for a second time and I'm really liking watching this blow up in their faces. Its actually a fun game once you get past EA's schemes, the massive collection of bugs/exploits, and the incessant fanboyism (I've seen people get torn apart by a group of mouthbreathers because they complain about some bug that just happened to them in general chat, its ridiculous).

Yeah the X v Y is stupid.

I'm firmly in agreement with you two.

No, you're the retard.

These are legitimate complaints. MANY people are saying the link doesn't work, SOME people, who may or may not be company reps, are saying it's fine. The fact that the issue actually exists and they're trying to cover it up, and given the timing it would be absurd to give EA the benefit of the doubt and not believe they did it on purpose - corporations exist to make a profit, remember? - is outrageous.

WoW has a lot of faults but Blizzard has never deliberately stolen our money. Yet. Which is why I didn't pay for the annual sub with cash.

There are no WoW fanboys here. There's no one here who's all pro-Blizzard (except maybe girl gamer trash like Kaldoreii, "facebook coprophilie" etc), and is actually supportive of Blizzard's policies and the general direction of the game. So implying it's WoW fanboys vs SWTOR fanboys is nonsense and you should really examine the reasons you even say such a thing given how nonsensical the remark is.

The purpose of any discussion is to compare facts, ideas, values. If you don't want to do that then don't participate in the discussion. You don't have the right to tell other people to stop throwing sand around because you're worried you'll get some in your vag. "Who the fuck cares?" Well, you, apparently: the discussion offends you. Again: why?

I'll supply the "why". Dvergar is against constructive discussion and dubious of the plausible accusations towards EA for the same reason he gives his hypocritical bigoted malarkey about women's rights and other social issues.

Dvergar is the kind of odious creature becoming all too prominent today: the person who thinks that self-coronated authority, in any form, in any place, at any time, is never wrong. He thinks the majority opinion on every issue is right even while he claims the ignorant unwashed masses should blindly accept what the authority says. So he tries to shut down any critical analysis of issues out of pure self-conscious fear.

The real danger to our society - why I find these SWTOR forum posts and reality TV shows so disturbing - is what will happen as these people become a more powerful force in our society. People, like Dvergar and Kaldoreii, who are into what I like to call "facebook coprophilia".

BRB cancelling account, or at least trying to. The good thing is I did not buy the game until the 27th so I have a few days to play with before I cancel.

Btw, the game is fine, my problem is I went to two specific servers to play with either WoW peeps or real life friends and neither group of people have been on much at all. Hell, I thought I was going to be in guild full of WoW people from Zul'jin til I found out they were going the high and mighty route and only taking apps in February from people that were going to devote all of their time to the game. Oh well, I at least got to donate 60 bucks to EA.

The good news though is that the game was so boring to me that I started up my second WoW account and discovered the joy of the 78-79 pvp twink bracket. One shotting people as a healer makes me chuckle.

I've got such an urge to resubscribe. :/ SWTOR is fun, but, there's no motivation to do much other than raid. PVP is fun when with friends, but that gets old quick, too. Motivation is limited in the game.

I miss arenas a lot. Watching streams of people pvping, etc, seems so much fun. Trying to resist resubscribing!

Haven't hit 50 yet so maybe that's why I'm still having fun.

I refuse to apologize for enjoying myself.

What are these gamebreaking bugs and exploits?

Ilum 1.1 required highly geared people or like 50 people. Turrets hit for about 1/2 of most tank's health every 2 seconds.

Mayo is allowed to not like it because he bought and played. To each his own.

- People in Illum can get to the highest PVP rank in hours.
- The people in prerelease could buy those bags with a random piece of gear in it without spending commendations, allowing them to buy tens of thousands of them and just vendoring the materials. Most of them got the money taken away, but there's a couple out there that still have tens of millions of credits for doing nothing.
- The multiple occasions that I've died or my group has wiped because something 5 feet in front of us isn't considered to be in LoS.
- Walking down stairs and falling through the world.
- Having people (or eyes) in dialogues lose all color and become black splotchy blobs. This one happens in probably half of my cutscenes.

The best part is that they're banning people who are finding workarounds to these, like some republic guy who figured out a way to sneak out of the GY in Illum and leave the area so he couldn't be chain camped by 200 people.
