By your logic, no one on these forums should ever respond to Aestu's posts. We ALL know what he's like, but many still respond to him. I'm just the worst offender by a long shot.

No. You engage me in debate because you want to pretend you have knowledge and legitimate views.
Resorting to "I should never have engaged him," or "you don't know" (despite the fact that I frequently point to actual, specific facts pulled from my general knowledge, rather than talking in vague generalizations or selective Googling of editorials, suggesting that I do in fact know quite a bit), is just sour grapes.
It's no different than the short kid who challenges a taller kid to a footrace then cries cheater.
