To elaborate on why you're a moron, if you weren't a moron you would understand that this is happening only because of the corps.

Canada's government is about the same age as the US, and this sort of crap only became a problem when corporations entered the picture. The corps are applying bribery because they want to do dangerous and enormously destructive excavation to make a quick buck.

And because you are a moron, you'll say something like "BUT BUT BUT CORPS CANT BE WRONG SO IT MUST BE HALF AND HALF SO ITS NOT REALLY THE CORPS ITS THE GOVT BECAUSE IT ISNT ALL THE CORPS". No, plain and simple. The Canadian govt was fine until the corps arrived on the scene.

1.) I never said corporations can't be wrong, that's absurd. Don't put words in my mouth.

2.) It's both. Corps + Corrupt Government = Stupidity reigns



Is the conservative-facist party part of the government? I think so. They may be making decisions that are influenced by corporations, but they are still in government making the decisions. They pass the laws, they allow themselves to be bought. They make the lobbyists successful.


I don't understand why you think government can do no evil. They are both part of the same broken system. We can argue all day about who is "more evil" or has "more culpability" but it's a complete Chicken and Egg argument. The fact that you don't want to accept this makes you a moron.

Because, like most Americans, I assume that nothing that happens in Canadian political theater could possibly be a quality-of-life issue.

2.) How are corporations/lobbyists "scamming" politicians who accept the gifts, the handshakes....the benefits in exchange for their votes? Look at what happened with SOPA/PIPA - all the huge corporations were able to get the support of the government (many of whom understood 0 about the implications of the laws)...and only lost support when the internet protested and they realized it would be political suicide to continue to support those bills.


You sit and point the finger at corporations all day - and clearly can be evil fucks, but you give politicians and governments a free pass time and time again...why?

With every rabble-rousing investigative reporter and busybody smelling their butts, the only group able to make an accusation, that they refuse to actually take to court but instead turn into prime-time entertainment and from there let the issue die is...an organization that exists only to create corporate propaganda.

The single greatest proof that you are wrong is that no one goes into politics for the money. People do it because they either want power or to serve their country. Senators are veteran politicians who have been in the business for many decades - they didn't graduate from college with a degree in finance thinking, "I want to earn a million bucks on graft".

The premise of that argument, which you are stupid enough to buy into, is that the corps are innocent because no human authority could possibly behave with the least bit of responsibility with privileged information.

Congress doesn't profit - the corps do.

Did Congress run people out of their lawfully owned homes?
Did Congress pollute the water and destroy our natural resources?
Did Congress create an economic typhoon through irresponsible practices?
Did Congress run the money supply?
Did Congress completely destroy industry and employment in this country through corporate raiding?

No - the corps did. And people like you are stupid enough to fall for blatant propaganda. Like the Commies who blame the capitalists for crop failures and say that the answer is to redouble their devotion to the Party.

The corps have gone out of their way to balance the system in their favor. Not politicians. Again, blame the scammed not the scammer. Blame the guy with the gun to his head and not the guy holding it.
