I heard they're coming out with spreading achievements/mounts to different characters/accounts throughout battle.net.

My question is, if I were to buy an account and put it on my battle.net, would I benifit from all that I had on my old hunter that's banned? Anyone know how that'd work since the character still exists and all. Thanks!

Battlenet has been mandatory since early WotLK, and most people made the transition even before that. You would have to find an account that has been inactive for a very, very long time.

As to the second half of your question - how the hell should we know?
Never mind that, why would anyone, even you, care? About WoW?

I'm not sure if I'm not understanding what you said first, or if you misunderstood what I said.

I have a battle.net account with my main account on that banned. I'm asking if I bought a new account and put that new account on the same battle.net, so that it'd be one banned account, and one active account on one total battle.net.

I guess I wouldn't know if anyone knew how this transaction would work. I just heard about it today, wasn't sure if there was a list of requirements or whatnot (or when it's going to come for that matter.) And I'm enjoying wow right now, so I'd like to get my old shit back that I've got.

Oh, I thought you meant if you bought a previously existing account.

Ask Blizz? Hell if anyone who knows will tell you. Just sit tight and wait and see.

What did you get banned for? I'm sure if it wasn't too serious they'd un-ban you.

What Meowth said. Archaeology botting lol. I've asked plenty of times to the point where if I ask, they're allowed to negate that subject completely because they've looked over it many times haha.

I love how Blizzard busts out the ban hammer for archeology botting. I guess they are butthurt that they made a terrible grindy profession no one wanted to do, so people resorted to botting.

It's a slap in the face of their awful devs, so they crack down on it.

In TOR they created a Wintergrasp-style 100% uninstanced PVP zone with no limit on how many people could be in there. The only problem was that on a lot of servers there are a shitton more imperials than jedi and since it was uninstanced there was no way to get out of it besides leaving the zone, so there were instances of 200+ players camping 50 people at their graveyard for the whole time.

Some people figured out how to exploit the game so they could actually leave their graveyard instead of getting camped for hours, most of which got banned for exploiting the game.

RETIRED.

For being a Prot Pally that solo held Blacksmith while mass smithing stuff.

Which wouldn't have mattered, except he was BE at the time and I think I was going for an achievement.

I honestly don't know how anyone got banned for botting. Myself and others did that for hours upon hours with nothing bad happening at all.

It backs up the 'slap in the face' theory. While i can only laugh at the people who get banned for doing anything remotely wrong, the sheer number of people who i know who botted but never got even a warning is so massive that i have no choice but to believe the bans are done on the whim of the tumultuous chairman.

Hence why Azelma's theory is probably correct
