Support your claims. Provide direct, irrefutable evidence that man is causing global warming and that we have to do something before the world falls apart. Remember, this has to all factual and prove that the rate of change (based on whatever time frame, you haven't said) is unprecedented. Then you also need to prove unprecedented things haven't naturally happened in the past.

Periods tens of thousands of years in duration vs a period less than a century in duration. Only one variable has changed.

Unless you're European.

Aestu, with all due respect, kindly shut the fuck up.

Or is it global warming again?

It was changed to climate change because last year a lot of red-staters flipped their shit about how climate change wasn't real because it snowed in their general area. Its kinda like believing that dogs are extinct because yours died and you don't see any in your backyard anymore.

Also, I've always wondered what's so bad about being completely and entirely wrong about global warming (even though we aren't). A lot of the changes on the table for climate change are things like getting off of fossil fuels and finding cleaner and cheaper ways of creating power and fuel. Even if climate change turned out to be a gigantic mistake after we completely kicked off of fossil fuels and coal, we'd be better for it as opposed to the status quo.

He was in this thread before you and you decided to engage him. Maybe you should graduate from bus-oogling and split a hooker with Aestu so both of you can piss off.

I thought Aestu engaged Azelma. I mean, all Azelma did was voice his opinion where Aestu hadn't strongly said that Global Warming or whatever did or didn't exist. Seemed like Aestu was arguing the invalidity of the source and about the choices of my pal.

Azelma didn't quote Aestu and address him directly so it just looks to me like, given that Aestu quoted and replied to Azelma, ignoring the previous non-Azelma post, that Aestu is the one who engaged anything here.

You don't have to respond to every Asperger Aestu post.

Is thing PROFIT?

If yes, thing is good.

If no, liberal conspiracy marxist ideals based on muslim ideas.

Better world is not PROFIT so better world is bad.

With this post alone I'm a better republican candidate than the three front-runner-ups.

Oh wait, GO JESUS!

Now I'll get the nomination for sure.

Newt Gingrich says we should be living on the moon. Think of it this way - If everyone were living on the moon then there wouldn't be far fewer emissions on Earth. So, why aren't we living on the moon!? Because we haven't figured out how to do it without completely retrofitting all of our civilization in a cost-effective manner.

Keep in mind, there's nothing stopping you from embarking to the moon on your own... just like there's nothing stopping you from reducing your carbon footprint to near nothing... except convenience, associated costs, knowledge needed to live off the grid completely, physical capability to pedal your ass around town on a bike, etc.

Until alternative power supplies are affordable and abundant enough, we're going to stick with fossil fuels. Truth is we don't have enough supply, or demand, to completely switch to alternative fuels without completely breaking the bank... or the hearts of environmentalists.

The thing is I remember this 5+ page thread a couple months back where Aestu declared that this was effectively horseshit (with proof) and it got to the point where you and Jubber just said "fuck you" and left.

What alternatives do we have?

PS: Find the thread for me, please. I vaugely remember the thread but It's probably been filed in my mental "Oh, Aestu said something" folder, which is situated in the back of the mental filing cabinet for no reason other than it's 3% Accurate, 10% TL;DR and 87% Shit.

I'll accept this as 3% better than everything else on the market.

I'm all around very skeptical, and even more skeptical of those who are skeptical of my skepticism.

Skepticism devoid of a frame of reference is nihilism. And...

Making cleaner burning, less polluting fuel and all around cleaner tech is a good idea.

Jumping from one end of the pool to the other is a pipe dream. We have to swim across, and this will take time.
