Last night I finally received my new piano. It was a Christmas present to myself, but had to wait forever because it was on backorder. It's a Korg Digital piano, all white...put it together and it is awesome. Weighted keys and all.

Had a blast just playing and playing for hours. I think I'm going to start taking lessons again...I took lessons throughout high school but stopped in college. My problem with lessons is that I can play by ear, so I don't have the patience for reading music. Hopefully I can find a teacher who will allow me to just bring sheet music and help me learn it.

Any musicians here on FUBU? iirc Tuhl plays the guitar. How long have you all played? Taken lessons?

I've also been teaching myself acoustic guitar...i'm not very good...my fingers just suck at it...the F chord is a bitch. Damn bar chords.

Azelma should just stick to the skin flute.

Sounds like me. I can tell you what key I'm playing in and what notes I'm weighing on, but that's about it. I don't know the difference between a seventh and a ninth, or what diminished chords are. And when it comes to reading music, I know nothing. Absolutely nothing. I do wish to learn though.

I've been playing guitar off and on for 5 years. When people ask me what instrument I play, I just say, "Guitar, like the millions of other people on this planet."

Looking to purchase a resonator guitar so I can play blues with even more expression.

Today I learned that I play the guitar.

I used to play piano and trombone, but it's been almost a decade since either at this point. Now my musical outlet is pretty much just singing in the shower or during solo drives.

If destruction exists, we must destroy everything.

I played the trumpet in 4th and 5th grade, I don't remember why I stopped or if I was any good (doubt it). I have a guitar but I'm pretty terrible at it and could use lessons but don't have access to any.

I played the trombone until college. I should pick it up again, or something that sounds better without other instruments.
