You're looking at it backwards. The problem isn't that they're going to spend resources on MT shit, it's that quick profits from cheap MT shit removes the incentive to run the game as a going concern and invest in long-term content and other improvements.

I blame corporate America for stifling innovation and promoting mediocre practices (WoW clones, brown/gunmetal/black palettes, politically correct characters [cough cough SC2], and storylines written by those English majors who think that "there are only eight stories in the history of literature.")
