How unfortunate to my soul that I decided to read the last two pages of this thread first.

I absolutely am. There isn't the sharp duality between nobody and superhero that exists in your comic book reality.

Well to be fair, his post was just half of a thought and it was somewhat difficult to decide what he was talking about.
Which, he still never said for sure what happened. It's just assumed that what Drominar said is correct.

That being said, I can't really defend "shit threads like this" other then to say that he should start more threads. I mean, sure it's possible they could also get derailed. This is his thread starting history (I think).

search.php?keywords=&terms=all&author=Dotzilla&sc=1&sf=titleonly&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

I mean, not saying it's a bad thing that he starts threads so often, but when most the time you're only making new threads once a month or so, chances are the threads that are around aren't going to be on a topic you care for.

Basically, if you want less shit threads, make more threads that aren't shit and encourage them to grow in a manner that you'd like them to. aka don't complain that no one brought dessert to the potluck when you could have just as easily brought it yourself.

tldr: I'm an ass and I love Dotz =[

Pretty much this. I didn't mean to piss anyone off by posting stupid links. I was just trolling because a thread was started that I had no context for, or understanding of what the heck was even being talked about, and it just seemed like the middle of a thought. So I was like...okay, here's some stupid shit to entertain myself with. Childish? Yes. Mean spirited? Not intended.

Anyway, if it made someone leave FUBU permanently...my bad. I've apologized to him in a PM, since I don't want to alienate anyone from the community.

Part of being an adult is being responsible for one's own actions. You're not children. You don't get to blame the sixth-graders for egging you on. If you can't respond intelligently to a post then that's on you.

If you point to YOUR actions as proof of MY predictability, then you have in effect admitted that you really are that controlled by an inferiority complex and your entire argument against me is that I'm bigger than you are.

I don't think it's a shit thread. I think it's a thread that merits discussion, his delivery was shit.

See Tehra's post.

You are an adult. Your behavior is your responsibility.

Someone else predicting that you will lose control in a given situation isn't license to do so unless you are a child and can't be held responsible.

It's a statement of fact. That remark is supported by the facts of the article and it is their ultimate significance for reasons I explained already: because the cult of militarism is the bedrock of the corporate state and this article highlights both that connection and the fallacy of the former.

You can disregard what I said, you can get offended, or you can make a point of choosing to get offended on the behalf of others. Which did you do?

You're doing the typical Aestu thing described by Azelma earlier.

Battletard only posted to point out that the OP was a clear attempt to start a shit storm and create a thread that so thoroughly dripped of your inherent biases as to be laughable. You just want a fight - it's the only thing you ever want. Because yes, you're great at arguing on the internet, finding random links, and changing the subject, selectively ignoring parts of posts that are inconvenient to your perceptions, and moving on. You like fighting because you feel like you always "win" - and it makes you feel important.

The facts will never change - you are impossible to discuss anything with because you insist on insulting others, twisting words, projecting, and basically believing whatever you want to believe about everyone else, no matter how often facts and real events contradict your prejudices.

You may have a valid point somewhere in this thread, but no one here on FUBU can be bothered to truly engage you because of your insufferable ego and absurd hostility.

In b4 you mistake annoyance for being offended again

What actually amuses me the most about this thread now is how Aestu keeps telling us that this, that, and the other response is childish and/or not intelligent, yet all those responses, or at least the way he perceives them, are things he does on the regular. I'm beginning to think someone never grew out of his narcissistic phase as an adolescent.

Distinction without a difference.

Play ball or go home, but whether you stand on the field with the glove on your hand and cry because you've been "annoyed" or "offended" it adds up to exactly the same thing and the only way you could blame someone else for that behavior is if you are a child. As an adult it is the facts of your own actions you bear responsibility for.

And yet all you have to offer is an insult.
