Being hit back should be the least of your worries when you throw a punch. I'd advise against hitting something or someone...broke my hand that way, shits not too fun.
Exercise #1!! In addition to getting the anger out, you're doing something productive for yourself and your health. You definitely need to talk to someone you trust, though. Venting has it's place, but also constructively analyzing the roots of your anger...as bullshit as that sounds.
