I use my Headless Horseman mount on most of my characters (I have 9 or 10 of the mounts) and the night elf racial mount on most others. ICC mounts on those that have it. I used to purposely use the human racial mount instead of my warlock mount on Baneleaf in pvp just to make it look like I was a mage or priest from a distance. I don't however have any of the very rare drops so I can't hoover in the trade district to look cool.

I do wonder now if it is worth trying to solo TK on my pally though her gear is a cross between decent and crap at the moment. Though tanking with a Souldrinker can be quite fun, especially since I threw mending on it because the enchant cost less than one of the shards to make it.

Oh the good old days of.pvp when not using a special mount was a great tactical idea.

Got damn it, I don't get it.

I used to convince the GM of DIBT FAKK to jump into my motorcycle, which I would then ride into raid bosses/off of dalaran/into groups of alliance/etc, kick him off of the motorcycle, and speed away in the opposite direction. I got gkicked about 2 or 3 times a week for about a month there.

My motorcycle also got Yuratuhl his city boss achievements with Chrystal's raid.

RETIRED.

1. Players cannot board vehicles unless they are in the same party/raid
2. It is not possible to ride off Dalaran using only a ground mount (it has raised walls all around, except for one spot and I doubt you know where that spot is)
3. There were/are no outposts in WotLK/Cata where world PvP is viable and therefore there would be "groups of alliance to run into"
4. There were/are no raid bosses in areas accessible by mounts except Sartharion and XT (and raid combat is global meaning you cannot use those bosses to grief only one player)
5. You did the mechanically impossible to the GM of DF ten times in a month and he fell for it each time?

I mean, I guess it's a nice fantasy, or a "/sunglasses" thing to tell people.

Actually,

1. I'd imagine they were grouped.
2. The sewers have a pipe that leads directly out, it's fun. Surprised you didn't know this.
3. Perhaps he was talking about BGs or the very little amounts of world PvP that happened.
4. I don't have much of an arguement for this, perhaps everyone was mounted and he'd drive the player to the boss, kick them off and ride away to safety. /shrug
5. Not too hard, some people go along with things like this for fun and/or the benefit of the group.

I know at least half of this happened. Fantasy becomes reality.

Only thing we used to do was duel people and if we got stunned or something, we'd hope in the mechano hog and ride away (all the while screaming "GOGOGOGOGO" in vent) till it was over and hop out.

Where other than the sewer pipe (the spot I was referencing), that does not require using an aerial mount?

Missed that part but that's exactly the spot. I saw him do it at least 3 times, maybe not with the same person but yeah

Speaking of mounts, can somebody post the terrain mount macro? If flyable, x; if underwater, y; if ground mount, z... etc.

I use this one

#showtooltip Stealth
/cast [swimming, nocombat] Seahorse
/cast [flyable, nocombat] Snowy Gryphon
/cast [nocombat] Unpainted Mechanostrider
/cast Stealth

Actually, I'll have to double check, that's my gnomes and I added the Seahorse part. Delete the stealth part, etc
I'll log on my undead after this dungeons and check D:

I detect an effort to get the thread back on a positive note.

I often find I prefer to use a ground mount even in flyable areas. As for underwater:

/use Abyssal Seahorse
/use standard ground mount

saves a bind
