Usd, I recommend On Wings of Eagles by Ken Follett, for you. I bet you'd like it.

The Dogs of War by Frederick Forsyth is a good novel in the same vein but more rigorously written.

Other good books about war: Livy's War Against Hannibal and Tuchmann's Guns of August. The former is a highly readable story about incredible courage and tenacity against overwhelming odds; the latter is a very dense, dramatic but historically unimpeachable account of the first month of the Great War.

It's more than that - I believe that people cannot learn the difference between right and wrong unless they experience both. Sheltering kids is self-defeating. The difference between that and violent media is establishing that wrong is wrong.

I believe that it is the lack of relevance of of American institution, including and perhaps especially education, to actual reality, that drives the racism and profanity in gaming communities (and arguably the popularity of gaming itself).

If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little.

Don't worry, it's fake. If I remember right, it's meant to fuck with first year law students in Criminal Law class.

I KNEW it sounded familiar. I used to sit in on a friend's crim classes sometimes for shits and giggles.

Yew's sig on the other hand, that's compelling. Is the guy before Mr Vader shirtless?

Looks like light-orange or peach polo shirt to me.

I should have checked it again. I was looking at it last night and this program makes me screen go red at night so it blended the colours. It's clearly different colour now that i'm looking at it with normal lighting.

thanks for the suggestion guys, also @Aestu I cant say I enjoy Gatsby for the story. I believe I enjoy it more for the time period, i wish i had lived in 1910-1960 era,(including sticking through the depression) but who doesnt?

If you enjoy this time period, you might like A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway. This "novel" is set during the early to mid 1920's in Paris with all the accompanying real-life celebrities who lived there when Hemingway did. Gossipy, self-absorbed and written three decades later through the lens of time, it is still fun and enlightening. I'm sure Woody Allen must have read this several times for some of the inspiration for his film Midnight in Paris which I also recommend because you will certainly identify with the main character, Gil.
