So, my girlfriend won a DS at her job...and never used it..letting it sit unopened for 2 years...so she was like "do you want it?" and I was like

Free DS?

Image

It's not a 3DS, but still pretty fun...and again...free.

So there I had this DS...and no games. Just yesterday I went out and bought New Super Mario Bros...which is fun. However, I think I need a few more games.

Any recommendations, FUBU? I want games that take advantage of the DS platform...and are also genuinely good. I like something that I can get a lot of good hours on. Oh, and nothing that has WiFi as a primary driver...I know no one else with a DS to play with.

Some games I'm considering:

1.) Pokemon Black (or White)
2.) Final Fantasy III
3.) Animal Crossing: Wild World
4.) Kirby: Canvas Curse
5.) Age of Empires: The Age of Kings

I'm very curious as to how one plays Age of Empires on a handheld.

Pokemon Conquest comes out in June, looks like a ff tactics type pokemon game. I'm looking forward to getting it eventually.

Ended up ordering Pokemon White version - hopefully it's good.

I'm curious to learn that too as I was quite the fan of it back in the day. The game has gotten good review from what I can see...I bet if implemented correctly the stylus could be a cool mechanic.

I got this too - seemed like a real unique game which is exactly what I was looking for.

Can't wait to play both these games (plus Super Mario Bros)....that'll hold me for a while I think!

Azelma,

Find yourself an R4DS Cartridge and get a MicroSD card to go with it. You can find these cartridges online from several over-seas retailers but I won't link to any one specifically.

When you get this card you'll be able to load some Kernel for the DS, like the Wood or the R4 Kernels.

Once you have this you'll be able to load your MicroSD card with .nds ROMs which can be found at various websites. Romulation.net is one that worked best, but I stopped using them when a lot of the games were taken down for copy right reasons. Still, TWEWY and some other favorites are still available. http://www.romulation.net/NDS/ Later releases to the NDS lineup had protections in place to make pirating harder... so I wouldn't bother with Pokemon Black/White .nds

If there is anything specifically you're looking for, lemme know. I think I still have some stuff floating around. PM me and we'll talk.

It's a ffitting irony that the guy who finds welfare recipients "sickening" and sleeps with a gun to protect his stuff against those bad black people who live to steal, makes a point of stealing a honestly made product that he could easily afford.

I guess stealing from honest people is more dignified when you're white.

Why would I be mad?

There's dozens of reasons you should be mad... and you should be mad they're not obvious to you.

Logically, if I were mad, I would have a reason for being mad. As I am unable to identify any reason why I should be mad, it is logical to conclude I am not mad at all.

Either way, point stands. Shoplifter "disgusted" by welfare recipients. Details at 11!
