If you think the status quo will ever benefit you (or anyone you are likely to know), you are a fool.

also, i am by no means supporting the incredible division of the economic classes, but i would like to say that a fair amount of the 1% spend the majority of their money investing in future business, technology, and medicine.
Why do you believe this? What gave you this idea? Is there a reason or are you just going for the propaganda? If you can't articulate your reason for believing what you do then its likely you're simply being manipulated.
You realize that our economic troubles are driven in large part by speculation etc that is totally unproductive? And why would the rich invest in technology? To make money? Where's that money coming from? They already have it all, remember?

just because someone is obscenely wealthy doesn't exactly mean their bank account reads CHECKING : $13,000,000,000, or that they swim in a pile of gold coins like Scrooge McDuck. mark zuckerberg is a prime example of this. his contributions to web investing, the gates foundation, education, and his streamlining of online business had to be financed by something.
Which is why the IPO came AFTER the business was successful?

i think this movement needs to spend less time focusing on the actual amount of money a person or company "has" vs. what they spend it on, or if at all.
This is a cute way of saying you're gullible and go for the bullshit rather than do your own thinking.
Do you really think the same sociopath who stabbed the other founders of Facebook in the back, lies to customers and scammed investors, became a really cool dude just in time to donate some of his ill-gotten gains to charity?
Or maybe he's doing it because it's a good way to buy PR.
Which makes more sense to you?
The thing is, all of the counters to your claims are obvious with a moment's thought. So why aren't they obvious to you? Surely there's a reason.
