Yay we get minus 500+ resil as a racial!

I can only hope you're joking. Sounds like a bad case of OUR RACIAL IS SUPPOSED TO BE OP NOT YOURS!

At max gear levels, end of season/Xpac, you get 429 resil from the trinket, 484 resil from the conquest version.

Do you know how much damage reduction 484 resil is in full PvP gear after soft cap? A tiny bit over 3%.

My rogue sits at almost 4100 resil using the crit trinket over the resil one.

3% damage reduction vs 517 Agility/Intellect/Strength WITH a damage proc or even vs any of the other ridiculous PvE trinkets AND you get to keep the PvP bonuses from your other trinket.

Or, you can use two PvP Trinkets, one with an on use of 2419 of offensive stats and one with a proc of 1452 of that same stat all without losing a drop of resil.

I think most anyone worth their water in PvP will agree that Every Man For Himself is the best racial in the game and will continue to be for a while. Will the combination of WotF and TotG give it a run for it's money? Maybe.

Fact is, especially at this point in the game, most people are using the PvP trinket and a really good PvE trinket if they can get one.

Xeoni wrote:
Every xpac, one racial usually dominates. The Human racial was best in Cataclysm. PvE trinkets were just too good to not obtain.

This plus also best in at least Wrath.

Why do the Horde continue to have OP racials? It's a damn scam.

I just don't get it.

Racials are fairly balanced with some exceptions. aka warstomp vs shadowmeld for druids.

All this crying over a heal that's going to probably be barely noticable. You don't see anyone crying about Gift of the Naruu.

I mean...DRAENEIS ARE SO GAME BREAKING, LOOK AT THEIR HOOVES AND THEIR TAILS AND THEIR SILKY BLUE COMPLEXION FFFFFF BRB JO'ING!

By racials being balanced you mean that the only alliance races with good racials are humans, and to some extent furries?

gnomes having a shit version of EMFH that doesn't share a CD with pvp trinket being kinda shit if you ask me. shadowmeld sucks for most classes. naaru sucks. dwarves have racials?

goblin and elf racials are BALLER. tauren one is great for melee. orc one is ok, would be good if % based. rest are shit though.

Remember when Stoneform was useful?

Me neither.

Actually it was for a while, but then crying happened by select classes and the immunity was removed. Though I liked the guise of "we're removing immunity from all racials".

Spoiler Alert: Having a skill that only removes effects that are stupid easy to reapply is shit.

Stoneform is the strongest tank racial.

10% armor for ten seconds, plus removes all bleeds? That's huge.

Whoop-dee-fucking-doo. If the average player has 400k hp, and assuming the average proc heals you/deals damage for 14k, that's only 3.5% hp gained for you / damage dealt to enemy.

It seems like it's okay for PvE purposes, the PvP benefit is just icing on the cake. It's hardly gamebreaking at all.

As long as it's not proccing all the time, this isn't gamebreaking.

No one here has been able to convince me that the following is false.

Overall:

Horde Racials > Alliance Racials

You can say QQ all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that it's an imbalance that has existed since Vanilla.

I agree that as a general rule, Horde racials as a whole are superior and have been superior since WoW released. This particular racial is really slightly above 'meh' as far as I'm concerned. Extra damage and survivability is always nice.

Orc's 'Blood Fury' is better than this is, although that only concerns melee. I see this talent as being more oriented towards casters anyway, especially if it is affected by bonus shadow damage via talents or gear.

Then it only has to proc ~6 times per THREE minutes to be better than gift of the naaru.

That's not even considering the fact that it both deals damage and heals.

gear - no.

It might be affected by % shadow damage talents

at the very least it would be affected by curse of elements.

The only times Horde racials were actually overpowered were when Undead had Vanilla-era WotF, and Tauren hitbox in BC. And when you consider that night elf druids could drink while invisible, human rogues always got the opener, and teams with squidgoat could shift a full point of hit somewhere else, I don't think the Alliance has much to stand on when it comes to bitching.

are you talking about bc where the aura was split between spell and mele hit depending on the squidgoat's class

or during wotlk where the aura became 1% to all types

but if you mean wotlk then there's also the op blood elf racial:

blood elves have 1(or was it 2?)% chance to not be hit by ALL spell types that you can't beat with hit, I suppose night elves had the same for mele hit too though.

(seriously, missing on a lvl 46 rogue is not funny)

Pre-wotlk, there was an unmitigable 1% chance to miss, iirc, on top of the belf racial.

But yeah, War Stomp/Arcane Torrent are/were far better than alliance racials.
