Never thought I'd see the day when someone is depressed they can't game 20+ hours a week. It's called growing up.
His issue, as I read it, isn't that he doesn't have the free time, it's that he just doesn't feel as "into it" as he used to.
Perhaps you might call a change of tastes in that respect growing up as well, but I would presume you'd agree that particular issue is a game and not a player problem.
I freely admit I wish I had more to do. I am waiting on hearing back from grad school (again). I wish I had a more busy life. So that much I agree with you on.
Well as you grow older tastes change. Do adults still enjoy playing Candyland or other incredibly simple games? Probably not unless they are playing with their children. I agree WoW is terrible in its current form. But again I started playing and had the most fun when i was 16-17 and had no responsibilities. Now at 23 it just doesn't feel worth the time.
I still play computer games. But my interest has definitely changed. MMOs/grind based games like WoW or D3 really aren't that interesting to me. I like being able to hop on for a 20-30 minute game of League of Legends or SC2 and then log off as time requires.
