Pretty glad that I still have to play my single player games with 700 ping when people have already cracked it.

^ this, tho I have 150 ping, but still I don't enjoy going online just to play single player.

Yea : [ D3 is a game I would play Offline on my lappy at my weekend work(no electricity / very boring) even though I never have a desire to play it at home > <

Did none of you people play D2? You had to be online to play your real character. Single-player characters could never be on real battle.net, only Openbattle.net which was just full of cracked and hacked characters (that was the point, but still).

I realize it's popular to hate on always-online games and that D3 has no real single-player option, but even in D2 you couldn't use your single-player character online.

If destruction exists, we must destroy everything.

you also didn't have ping issues.


as i said before, during the TL beta i had torrents running, and even though it required online play due to the beta, i still never lagged playing solo because it doesn't use a shitty system.

That doesn't make my Witch Doctor running away from an elite pack on inferno only to have him rubberband back to them and get instagibbed feel any better, you know. I'm fine if they force you to be online for single player, I'm not ok if they force you to be online and you get 300+ ping on a regular basis.

It's not documented, but WoW has the same thing. I recently tried upgrading a starter account to full. It took about 72 hours to enable mailbox access and the ability to use the chat function. This meant I could not get my BoAs (which had already been mailed from myself and were in mailbox limbo) or communicate with anyone but Lucith and Xeoni in any way. Fking annoying.

Considering they nerfed witch doctors into the fucking ground, I don't understand why Blizzard is even bothering putting more leashes on the game.

Also, getting to the skeleton king is like 3 hours. I can't think of a better way of getting people completely disenfranchised with your game by locking them out of content for days on end right before you start getting skills and the game gets interesting.
