I thought I linked a different one where the warlock used Al'ar's room to kill the advisors so it surprised me to see him in Kael'thas's room. But yeah, porting in is a great idea.

He did. Then he ported back into Kael's room. The first thing he does in the video is put a port right inside the door.
Mmmmm, I only watched a bit of the video linked earlier as I already had a strategy from a similar one. BUT, the video xeoni linked gave me the idea to port back inside as it saves a ridiculous amount of time. So, sorry if I'm explaining exactly what the warlock did.
Without porting, I would kill thaladred and sanguinar at the entrance portal. Capernian where the wings to voidreaver/solarian start from al'ar's room and then the engineer just outside kael's room.
With porting I can kill thaladred just outside kael's room, sanguinar at the entrance portal, capernian wherever she finds me as I'm running back. Port inside with telonicus and kill him just before toy stun falls off.
This strategy is a little harder as I end up with all four advisers at once (telonicus dies shortly after, then thaladred) but it can easily save 10 minutes per attempt.
Killed him on my second try with the 31/9/1 spec.
First attempt had the stamina trinket I linked earlier on, with +hit/+resistance elixirs on. (The resist is nice for everything before kael + the phoenixes)
Second attempt realized my damage was way too low (sanguinar still alive while kael was out)
Put the stupid mastery proc trinket from well of eternity back on and 300 int flask.
I did actually get low once but alchemist stone + demon armour makes healing potions heal waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much.

Damn, that's brilliant. Did you use the portal to escape fireballs?
After all the advisers are down and I am only fighting kael'thas I used the port to jump out of flame strikes.
edit: and while fighting the advisers I use the portal on cd to get some distance from thaladred.
Aside from that it's only really useful to get back inside the room.
